Peach Run!
I had been training for a 5K and before the race my longest run was 2.6 miles. I had done that twice and felt pretty good after, so I was excited and nervous about the race at the same time. I ran the entire race, but my time was not quite what I wanted it to be. I didn't let that take away from the fact that I ran the entire race though. I thought that was more than enough to be proud of! The race was weird though. I always run with someone and have conversation to distract me from what I'm doing. I was by myself. For most of the race there wasn't even anyone around me, so it was very different from what I am used to. I am doing better than last year though. After last year's race I didn't go back to the gym for a month and although I haven't ran since the race Saturday I have been back to the gym! Baby steps all the way.

Longest Run
I'm adding to my runs and doing really well. I ran 2 miles today which is my longest run ever! I ran a little over 2 Tuesday, but I did 1.4 lifted some weights and went back out for more. Today it was 2 miles without stopping! I was amazed at how good I felt after the run. I may crash after lunch, but for now I feel really good!

Minor set back
I was doing really good. I was running outside 3-4 days a week and was about to start adding distance when me got the dreaded stomach virus. It wasn't just any virus. It knocked me out for a week and then had a round 2 that I am currently recovering from. I hope to be almost back to normal by Wednesday. I also hope that this doesn't throw me off track too terribly bad. I really want to decrease my 50 minute 5K and be able to run the entire race. So that's where I am right now!
